Worth Knowing

  • Very expensive

This is the Cadillac of kids’ trailers. The Thule Chariot Sport 2 is built for parents who are actually going to use it across seasons. Biking, jogging, and skiing are all on the table, and it’s stable enough for gravel paths and wide, mellow trails without feeling like you’re pushing it.

We’ve put more than 10,000 miles on an earlier Chariot over five years and two kids. We've been through multiple sets of tires and years of use without it falling apart. That track record is the reason to spend this much in the first place.

The Sport 2 adds the details that matter once you’re using it regularly. Disc brakes on the handlebar give you control on runs and descents. Vented side windows help on hot days. The seating is more padded, and the double version lets a single child sit centered, which works better as kids get bigger.

There’s enough space for two kids plus the extra gear that always shows up, and it folds down reasonably well for storage or transport.

It’s expensive. But if you’re using it often and keeping it for years, it earns its place.
