  • Comfortable enough for regular use

  • Removable visor

Worth Knowing

  • Fit may last multiple seasons, but condition should dictate replacement
  • Any significant crash means immediate replacement
  • For frequent riders, replacing annually is a practical way to stay ahead of accumulated, invisible damage

The Giro Tremor Helmet is an easy default for kids who ride a lot. It’s light, vents well, and the fit range is broad enough that it can adjust with a child’s growth over time. That reduces how often you need to replace it for sizing reasons, which is a real advantage over narrower-fit helmets.

Separate from fit, there’s durability. Most helmets use EPS foam that’s designed to compress on impact to absorb energy. That compression doesn’t fully rebound. Even small hits—being dropped on the garage floor, bouncing around in the back of the car, or minor crashes—can create micro-damage in that foam. You won’t always see it, but it reduces the helmet’s ability to manage a larger impact later.
