The Edgie Wedgie Ski Tip Connector is a short-term tool for very young beginners, typically ages 2–6, who don’t yet have the strength or coordination to hold a wedge on their own. It clips onto the tips of the skis to keep them in a “pizza” shape, helping them control speed and preventing crossed tips. For first-time skiers, that can reduce frustration and make it easier to focus on balance and getting comfortable sliding. Younger kids often lack the strength and coordination to push their ski tails out consistently, and the Edgie Wedgie helps with that. Once they can control their speed and stop on a gentle slope, it should come off. If left on too long it becomes a crutch and delays progression. Using the Edgie Wedgie makes it harder to move around in lift lines or get onto a Magic Carpet, so many parents remove it at the bottom of each run and clip it back on at the top. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s still worth using.
