I keep ski days efficient. We boot up at the truck and carry only what we’ll actually use. The Black Diamond Dawn Patrol 15 is just big enough to make that work. It fits extra gloves and goggles, snacks, a water bottle, and après shoes, and it’s small enough to wear comfortably on the lift without getting in the way. It forces me to be selective when packing, which is part of the appeal – no overpacking and no digging through a bigger bag. The external helmet carrier is great for the times I get to hit the skin track. I also use the rear buckles to secure my poles so I can keep my hands free to help my kids on lifts and transitions. And the small pocket on the left strap is exactly where you want quick-access snacks when you’re on a chair.
