Cleats, shin guards, and sweaty shoes are usually the worst-smelling things in a kid’s sports bag. A normal mesh shoe bag keeps them separated, but it does nothing for the smell. The Salt Athletic Aērcase is different–it’s built to contain odor, so dirty cleats can go from the field to the car without offending its occupants.
The bag uses odor-blocking materials, including activated carbon and silver mesh, to help contain and reduce offensive odors. It fits a pair of cleats and shin guards, and the slim shape makes it easy to slide into a backpack or larger team bag. The magnetic closure is one of the better details. It’s faster than a zipper, stays shut, and avoids the common problem of zippers getting jammed with grass, dirt, or turf pellets. The interior is also water-resistant and easy to wipe out.
