A reliable floor pump is one of those things you don’t think about until you need it, and the Specialized Air Tool Comp is built for exactly that kind of everyday use.
What stands out immediately is the gauge. It’s large, with easy-to-read graduations that make it easy to dial in precise pressure at the low end. Half of the dial covers 0–30 psi in one psi increments, while the other half measures 30–120 psi in two-psi increments.
In real use, the gauge isn’t perfectly accurate—it reads a few psi low—but it’s precise and repeatable. Once you know the pressure you like, you can reliably hit the same number every time.
The pump itself is built to hold up. It’s sturdy enough to live in a garage, get tossed in the car, and handle years of regular use without much thought. This isn’t a delicate tool—it’s one you can rely on. Where it falls short is at higher pressures. It works fine for road tires, but it’s not the best choice if you’re regularly pumping to higher PSI or want exact numbers without second-guessing.
